• Respiratory failure
• Hepatic failure
• Cerebellar disease
  • Tumour
  • CVA
  • Meningo-encephalitis

Easily missed

• Medications
• Multiple sclerosis
• Wilson’s Disease

Red flags

• Other neurological signs & symptoms
• Alcohol or drug misuse
• Systemic features (weight loss/fever/night sweats)

Investigations to consider

• FBC
• LFTs, TFTs
• CT/ MRI head
• Lumbar puncture
• Serum ceruloplasmin
