Red flags
- Meningism
- Acute sudden hearing loss
- Vertigo/ tinnitus
- Persistent discharge (especially in Diabetics)
- Facial nerve palsy
- Recurrent attacks of otitis media in adults
- Hoarseness
- Dysphagia
Investigations to consider
- FBC, CRP/ESR
- Swab
- Biopsy
- Skull X-ray
- CT scan/MRI
